Laptop Testing and Diagnostics

Run the same style of checks our technicians perform on every Qevora device. Tests marked browser run right here; tests marked guided walk you through checks the browser can't perform directly. Nothing is uploaded — camera images and microphone recordings stay on your device.

01 Screen Test browser

Fill the screen with solid colours to spot dead pixels, backlight bleed, and uneven brightness. Press Esc, click, or tap to exit; use arrow keys to change colour.

Look for: pixels stuck on one colour, bright/dark patches, glow along the edges.

02 Keyboard Test browser

Click inside the keyboard area, then press every key. Working keys light up copper. Some system shortcuts may be captured by your operating system.

07 Battery Check browser + guided

Checking browser battery support…

Full battery-health instructions

Windows: open Command Prompt and run powercfg /batteryreport, then open the saved HTML report. Compare Design Capacity with Full Charge Capacity.

macOS: hold Option and click the Apple menu → System Information → Power. Check Cycle Count and Condition.

08 Storage Check browser + guided

Checking browser storage estimate…

How to check drive health

Windows: Settings → System → Storage for capacity; run wmic diskdrive get status or the manufacturer's SSD tool for health.

macOS: Apple menu → About This Mac → Storage; use Disk Utility → First Aid to check for errors.

09 Memory (RAM) guided

Browsers can't fully test RAM — it needs operating-system tools. Safe options:

  • Windows: search "Windows Memory Diagnostic", choose Restart now and check for problems.
  • Mac: shut down, then hold D while powering on (Intel) or hold the power button → Options (Apple Silicon) to run Apple Diagnostics.
  • Any PC: most BIOS/UEFI menus include a built-in memory diagnostic.

10 Network Test browser

For full download/upload speed, use a privacy-respecting test such as speed.cloudflare.com.

11 Bluetooth guided

Manual check: open your system Bluetooth settings, confirm the adapter turns on, and pair a device (phone, headphones, mouse).

12 Port Checklist guided

Plug a known-working device or cable into each port your laptop has and tick it off:

13 Touchscreen browser

If your laptop has a touchscreen, drag a finger across the whole grid. Every cell you touch turns copper — untouched cells may indicate dead zones.

Cells touched: 0 / 96

14 Device Information browser

Everything your browser can safely report. Browsers cannot read serial numbers, exact hardware models, or full specifications — anyone claiming otherwise is guessing.

Test Summary

Mark each test above as Pass or Needs review, add notes, then save or print your report.

Disclaimer: browser-based diagnostics are a helpful first check but do not replace professional hardware inspection. Results depend on your browser, operating system, and permissions. Every laptop sold by Qevora Technologies additionally passes a full technician-run, multi-point hardware inspection.
